Steve O’Leary has more than 30 years of advertising and marketing experience focused on franchise or multi-unit retail chains. Steve is currently the Chairman of O’Leary and Partners, a Los Angeles advertising agency with over $50 million in billings from clients including Fantastic Sam’s Hair Salons and In-n-Out Burger.

An alumni of the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon, Steve has worked at several other international agencies in New York and Los Angeles including J. Walter Thompson., Wells Rich and Greene, and Lowe.

His previous client experience includes management responsibilities on accounts including Century 21, the National Association of REALTORS©, CarStar (collision repair centers), Sir Speedy, Subway Sandwiches, and UNIGLOBE Travel.

A popular speaker on advertising and marketing topics, Steve has addressed groups large and small at the University of Oregon, the American Marketing Association, and at over 100 conventions and workshops.

Kim Sheehan is currently Associate Professor of advertising at the University of Oregon. Before she joined academe, she worked for more than a dozen years at ad agencies in Chicago, Boston and St. Louis on accounts including McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Long John Silver’s, Coldwell Banker Real Estate, and Laura Ashley.

Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Radio-TV-Film from Northwestern, the MBA from Boston University, and the PhD from the University of Tennessee. Kim is the recipient of several teaching and research awards, and serves as Vice President for the American Academy of Advertising.
